Editing or Canceling Scheduled Messages

Life changes, and sometimes your scheduled messages need to change too. Bovella gives you full control to edit, reschedule, or cancel messages at any time before they're delivered.

What You Can Edit

✏️ Message Title

Change the title that appears in the delivery notification

📝 Description

Update the text that accompanies your video message

📅 Delivery Date

Reschedule to any future date

⏰ Delivery Time

Change what time of day the message is sent

👤 Recipient

Change who receives the message

📧 Recipient Email

Update the delivery email address

⚠️ What You Can't Edit

The video itself cannot be edited after upload. If you need to change the video content, you'll need to cancel the message and create a new one with a new recording.

How to Edit a Scheduled Message

Go to Your Dashboard

Log in to Bovella and navigate to your dashboard where scheduled messages are listed.

Find the Message

Locate the message you want to edit. You can filter by recipient, date, or use the search function.

Click "Edit"

Click on the message, then click the "Edit" button to open the editing interface.

Make Your Changes

Update any fields you need to change - date, time, recipient details, title, or description.

Save Changes

Click "Save" to confirm your changes. The updated delivery details take effect immediately.

Rescheduling a Message

To change when a message is delivered, follow the edit steps above and select a new date from the calendar. You can reschedule to any date in the future, including:

  • Moving a message to an earlier date (as long as it's still in the future)
  • Postponing to a later date
  • Changing from a specific date to a different occasion entirely
💡 Tip

If you're unsure about the exact delivery date, you can always schedule for later and move it earlier once you're certain. You cannot schedule messages for the past.

Canceling a Message

If you no longer want to send a scheduled message, you can cancel it at any time before delivery.

Find the Message

Navigate to your scheduled messages and locate the one you want to cancel.

Click "Cancel" or "Delete"

Open the message details and click the cancel/delete button.

Confirm Cancellation

You'll be asked to confirm. Type "CANCEL" or click confirm to proceed.

🚨 Important: Cancellation is Permanent

When you cancel a message, the video file is permanently deleted from our servers. This action cannot be undone. If you think you might want the message later, consider rescheduling to a far-future date instead of canceling.

Already-Delivered Messages

Once a message has been delivered, you cannot edit or delete it from the recipient's view. The recipient will always be able to access messages that have been sent to them.

If you sent a message by mistake or need to communicate changes:

  • Contact the recipient directly to explain the situation
  • Send a follow-up message with corrections or updates
  • Contact our support team for special circumstances

Editing Recipient Information

If a recipient's email address has changed, you should update it before the message is delivered:

  1. Go to the Recipients section of your account
  2. Find and select the recipient
  3. Update their email address or other details
  4. Save changes

This will update the email address for all pending messages to that recipient, not just one specific message.
